Thank you for your interest in joining the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) PLEASE READ ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AS IT EXPLAINS HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION. There is an expectation that your application will be completed within one week of your application submission:
1) INDUSTRY REFERENCES: Three (3) industry references are required and one (1) of the three (3) references must be a current RMAI member in good standing. If you are unable to provide a current RMAI member, please provide five (5) industry references. References from the same reference company is not allowed. Please obtain permission from your references in advance and notify them that an RMAI staff will be calling.
References should be companies with which you have had debt collection or debt purchase/sale transactions. Please obtain permission from your references in advance and notify them that they will be contacted. Personal, banking or office supplier references are not acceptable.
2) BACKGROUND CHECK: RMAI will perform a basic background check (civil and criminal) on the company and primary contact in addition to each owner (inclusive of shareholders, partners, principals, members, etc.) with a five (5) percent or greater share of ownership and each corporate officer of the company. The report will remain confidential and used by RMAI staff
3) MEMBER DUES: Membership is on a traditional calendar year (January - December), and prorated dues are available in Q2 (April to June) and Q3 (July to September). Dues cover the cost of company membership and include one (1) primary contact.Additional representatives from your company can be added for $50 per person. Membership dues paid to RMAI are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. RMAI estimates that 100% of your annual dues will be used to support the organization's national and state legislative/regulatory program.
